Do You Remember Me?
Sorry it's been so long. To say things have been busy would be a HUGE understatement. On top of the usual busy baby stuff, I've also been freelancing and training for the new bank job. I passed my first test with flying colors. Tomorrow is the oral test, then I have a final on Friday. If I pass them all, I become an official customer service rep for Commerce Bank, Parsippany. JOY! :)
Actually, today was really interesting. We saw a video on what to do should the bank get robbed. That thought crossed my mind, but I never REALLY thought about it until now. The instructor said that in all honesty, our chances for witnessing a robbery of some kind is pretty good. If not us, we'll know someone in another branch who gets hit. It happens a lot more often than the newspapers and news channels report. Most of the time it's simply someone walking up to a teller with a note that says something to the effect of, "I have a gun. Give me all your money." Then the teller complies (or SHOULD according to company policy) and the person leaves, usually without ever showing a weapon. I'm lucky in the respect that CSRs have no money at their desks, so we rarely get hit on that end. But sometimes they'll grab one of us and make us go behind the counter to get the cash. So...it could happen. It's a possibility I have to deal with. I don't foresee anything drastic happening, I'm willing to take the chance. Still, I'll have that in the back of my mind every day.
Anyhoo, in other news, we had Fran's b-day BBQ on Saturday. It was way more subdued than usual. A few people weren't able to make it last minute, and most others left well before 10:00. By 3ish there were only the 3 people left who were crashing. We had a good time. I'm looking forward to KeeneCon next month. Of course I'll have both kids with me, so I won't be getting drunk. But that day will come...eventually. I can deal.
Well, time to get back to my current addiction. www.pogo.com If you're into online games, definitely check it out. I know AOL users can play a lot of the games for free...but I'm psycho enough to pay for a membership! Heh
