Showers And Such
Well, it's been a busy few days, but I survived it. We got the nursery painted on Saturday, now all that's left is the stencilling, putting in the area rug, and putting together the furniture. We should have all that taken care of this Saturday. My baby shower was on Sunday. It was a lot of fun, but exhausting. A special thanks to Deb, Coop, and little DB for coming all the way out for it!
I got a ton of great stuff, and only a couple of doubles. Went to Babies R Us today to return the doubles and get the rest of the gear I need. My tab was close to $700, just under $500 was all me, the rest was gift certificates, store credit, and cash that I got at the shower. Babies are so damn expensive! But at least I'm done. I mean, there's always diapers and wipes and shit like that, but I got the big stuff. So I'm pretty much ready.
3 weeks and 2 days left till my due date, but I'm pretty sure I'll go late. I went late with Kimi, and it tends to happen a lot in my family. I honestly wouldn't miind going early, like tomorrow...but that's a long shot. heh I guess I'm just tired of waiting around. I have this week and next week babysitting, then I'm done with that. I'm looking forward to not having to run around 3 days a week. Not that the babysitting job is bad, I'm just so damn tired. I'd like a little time to relax before the baby comes, because once he's here, my relaxing days are over for a long while.
My next doc appt. is Saturday. I'll find out if there's anything going on "down there." I'll be sure to fill you in. Until then, I'm pretty much just doing the same shit. Babysitting, some freelancing, and trying to get as much rest as possible.
Well, it's just about time to pick up the kiddo at school. Then it'll be homework time, my favorite time of the day. NOT! But hey, at least I get my girl scout cookies today. That's something to look forward to. :)
