Babies And Things

Sorry it's been awhile...I really haven't been feeling up to posting. But things are starting to look up. I'm off the nausea pills and am still holding food down. I'm in my 12th week now...hopefully the morning sickness will be completely gone soon. I'm still tired all the time and my stomach feels queasy a couple of times a day, but all in all, I'm feeling much better than I was the last couple of weeks.

I go for my next appointment on Friday. I'll be hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time. I'm really looking forward to that. I just can't wait for the fun part of pregnancy to begin. Feeling the baby kick and get the hiccups, buying baby stuff, getting the nursery ready, finding out if it's a boy or a girl (I hate surprises). The rough patch was definitely worth it.

Speaking of appointments...Fran is finally getting his blood drawn for the CF test. It was like pulling teeth getting him to make an appointment. But he has one today. Hopefully we'll have the results soon. As always, I'll keep you posted. But I've been reading up a lot on CF. Of course I want my baby born healthy...but should it be born with CF, I feel that I can prepare myself and I can handle it. I jsut hope it doesn't come down to that.

As for non-baby stuff...I still haven't gotten my head back into writing. I have plenty of ideas and really want to get back to the novel, but it seems every time I get on the computer, I check my email and then feel drained. Even now, it's tiring to sit here typing away. I think part of this has to do with my lack of crazy meds. I know I'm going back on them, hopefully will get the ok on Friday at the doc's. I've reverted back to the old me, the me I don't want to be, and being pregnant makes it even worse. The best thing I can do for myself, and this baby, is get back on those meds. I don't like who I am right now, and I'm driving those who love me nuts.

You gotta do what you gotta do...right?

Well, I better get moving. I'm actually going out to lunch with friends today...a very rare sight. Until next time...
