If It's Not One Thing It's Another

Two issues to complain about today. We'll start with the most important. Got my lab results from yesterday's blood tests today. Turns out my blood sugar was high. Could mean that I have gestational diabetes, the kind you get when pregnant. We won't know for sure until, you guessed it, more tests are done. Now I have to go in for the 3 hour glucose test on Tues. I get to the hospital at 7:30 am, drink some sugary liquid (after fasting from midnight the night before), wait around 3 hours, then get more blood drawn. If this test shows elevated sugar levels, it doesn't look good. Last pregnancy it was pregnancy induced high blood pressure, this time it could be diabetes. Is it too much to ask for a healthy freakin pregnancy? After the cystic fybrosis scare, I thought I was in the clear. So much for that. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll let you all know the results as soon as I have them. Until then, I'm trying to stay positive and not really think about it.

My other complaint, which seems so small now in comparison, is my car. It's making a horrible clunking noise every time I make a turn. I have to bring it to the shop tomorrow and pray that it isn't something we can't afford to fix. Sigh. I really don't need this right now. This car has to last. There's no way in hell we could afford another one, and no one would give us a loan. So, keep your fingers crossed that it's something simple and cheap.

Ok, I'm exhausted. I'm going to watch the episode of Friends I had taped last night and hit the sack. Just thought I'd fill you all in.
