Been A Long Time...

Sorry I've been so quiet lately. To say things have been busy would be a major understatement. Ok, so here's what's been going on...

TI still sucks, but it's a job. I hope to be able to leave there by January, but it all depends on the freelancing. I did get some, but the well has dried up again, until at least the end of the year. Damn...end of the year is approaching fast. I'm reminded of how close Christmas is every day I work. So much to do, so much to buy, so little time, so little money. I know you all know exactly what I mean. Thankfully I have some WONDERFUL friends that have been helping me out with side projects and little jobs to do. We're getting by ok. I'm still in debt to my eyeballs, but we're keeping the creditors at bay. If we can just get past Christmas, I think we'll be ok.

Talked to my old boss this morning. I broke down. I need more work, at least for a little while. I still talk to a couple people there, so I know they still haven't hired anyone and work is starting to pile up. So I sucked up my pride and asked for work. He was pleasant enough (he was always pleasant, more of a passive/agressive type) and said he'd do his best to get me something. He has to talk to the big cheese and let me know. So keep your fingers crossed.

In pregnancy news, everything is going along smoothly. He's a fiesty little bugger, but we expect nothing less from a Fatras. I saw some of Fran's relatives for Thanksgiving and everyone was oohing and ahing over my ever growing belly. It was nice to be around so many people who are so excited about it. Not that my family and friends aren't excited, it's just different for the Fatrases, this is Fran's first...so they're extra excited. Despite the immense amount of French spoken on Turkey Day, I still had a good time. Fran's Aunt Janine from France is hysterical. She's 80 years old and went gliding a few weeks ago. She's a tough little thing, and funny as hell, even though she doesn't speak much English at all. heh

I can't think of anything else to report for now. Nothing very exciting going on. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and you're not too stressed out with the holidays approaching!

Till next time...
