Happy Halloween!

Well, it's officially my favorite day of the year! Woohoo! Hard not to be in a good mood on Halloween. :) I have a lot planned for today, so I'm going to have to keep this short. Firstly, I have to put the finishing touches on the house so I can scare the crap out of the trick-or-treaters tonight. Then I have to head to my daughter's school for her Halloween parade. Then I'm taking her and her friend to the town's parade, then trick-or-treating. She'll be spending the night at her friend's house, which leaves me free to watch horror movies all night long and terrorize the neighbors. I can't think of a better way to spend the day. hehehe

Tomorrow my hubby and I take off for PA to Brian's house. We'll be attending the Horrorfind Halloween party in Maryland. We'll make it back just in time for my reading/signing with the GSHW at the Wayne Borders at 2:00 pm on Sunday. I have quite a full weekend. I'm sure by Monday I'll be utterly exhausted!

As for a costume, I'm going to go through some of the stuff I have here and see if I can put something together. I just won't feel right unless I dress up. Call me crazy. It seems blasphomous (did I spell that right?).

Well, I'm off to bake some Halloween cookies. I'm a regular Martha Stewart.

Happy Halloween and Happy Samhain to all!

Just Feel Like Posting

I've been catching up on old episodes of Oz lately. I watched it on and off back when it aired originally, but never was able to truly get into it because I missed too many episodes and was confused by the ever changing cast and who offed who, who's screwing who, yada yada. My parents have digital cable with HBO on demand. Last month they had all of the season one episodes. So I watched one a day. This month is season 2 and in two days I've watched the entire season. I am so addicted to this show! Too bad it's over and done with, this past season was it. So I plan on watching every episode, getting all caught up.

Why do I like it? It's brutally honest. No holds barred. This is prison life. Of course it doesn't hurt that there happen to be a couple of hotties in it. :) But honestly, I find myself getting so sucked into the storylines I feel like I really know the characters. It's an intense show, and not one for those with weak stomachs.

Went to Great Adventure on Sunday for Fright Fest. I go every year. Fran's grandparents work there and we always get some free tickets. This year I couldn't go on any rides because of Mr. Peanut. But I still had a lot of fun. I took Kimi and my friend Mary took her son. They had such a blast at all the shows. Sometimes living through your kids can be more fun than riding rollercoasters and such. :)

This weekend Fran and I are going to the Horrorfind Halloween party. A special thanks to our friends Brian and Cassie for putting us up. :) I'm really looking forward to it. It really sounds like a lot of fun. I will of course report back.

I've decided not to dress up for the party though. I was going to go as a pregnant nun, but we are so broke there is no way I can afford a costume. It sucks, because I always dress up for Halloween. Next year I'll have to make up for it with something amazing.

I really don't have anything else to report. Hopefully I'll be freelancing soon and the money will start coming in. It'll take awhile to clear my debts, but I'm working on it. I'll actually be job hunting tomorrow for something I can do part-time at night. Right now we need all the cash we can get.

But enough about my money problems. Seems like that's all I think about these days. I promise I won't mention being broke in my next post. :)

Till then....
